Our stylist Gracie took a little trip down to her favourite city last week…LONDON!
Here’s some snaps of what she got up to.
Day 1
First stop – the Skarstedt art gallery on Old Bond Street, right next to some of our favourite stores (Chanel 🙊). Gracie went to see the Barbara Kruger exhibition, displays of her early work, of which examines the cultural constructions of power, identity and sexuality through their juxtaposition of text and imagery.
Very interesting exhibition, Gracie loves getting her styling inspiration from art, not just the typical fashion catwalks! She says “Everything inspires me, its important to not just look at fashion for fashion inspiration. I look at the news headlines, art, music – everything is inspiring if you allow it to be.”

Next stop! Dover Street Market

If your into visual merchandising like Gracie, you will love Dover Street Market (and Dover Street in general!)
Dover Street Market is very well known for its wacky displays of clothing, it takes thinking out the box to a whole new level! They’re products are often quite wacky too, definitely the place to shop if you want to get clothing that is going to make you stand out.

After scouring the 4 floors of Dover Street Market Gracie stopped off at her favourite spot in the city, the Rose Bakery – even the name is just too cute☺️
A glass of freshly squeezed OJ, a read of the finest selection of fashion magazines, accompanied with the beautiful view of the roof terrace and the sound of the chicest people in the city conversing over important fashion matters.
It is definitely the place to go if your a people watcher or ear wigger! Gracie said she has heard the most fascinating conversations going on in there (some of the Condenast team were having their lunch next to her – need we say more!)
Last stop of the day – Acne Studios
Gracie’s all time favourite designer store!

Such a beautiful Spring Summer collection.

“The clothes are just unreal… and the architecture of the building is too cool, then there is the amazing staff! Aaaah Acne you have won my heart” – Gracie

The shop even has a roof terrace on its top floor!
Day 2
The V&A – home of the best fashion exhibitions and currently displaying Alexander McQueen’s savage beauty exhibition, would be rude not to go!
“The exhibition was amazing, you get to look so closely at his incredible work! Such a fascinating mind that deserves celebrating. It reveals all his ideas and inspirations behind his work that changed how the fashion industry operates, and still to this day inspires fashion choices of so many people. McQueen certainly lives on!” – Gracie
Unfortunately Gracie didn’t get any snaps of the exhibition as you were not allowed to take photos 😣 but here’s a picture of a folding fashion show of Plato’s Atlantis SS10 she got from the V&A shop tehe!

After the exhibition Gracie bumped into fashion blogger and former Made in Chelsea start Emma Miller!

Who loves Emma’s outfit? #StyleCrush

Day 3 – The final day!

Gracie took a stroll round South Kensington, to visit Harrods! How cute are these houses?! We want one!

They had super cute Cinderella themed window displays up to celebrate the new release of the movie – awww!

“Where there is kindness there is goodness… and where there is goodness there is magic” We love this one, so on the same wavelength as #TheOliveAndLileWay to living life.

To wrap up Gracie’s trip heres a snap of one of those cute ‘thought of the day’s’ they have up at some tube stations.

Food for thought!
If any of you guys have been to the McQueen exhibition or any of the places mentioned let us know! We would love to hear what you guys think.
Lots of love, Olive & Lile XO
